Paddy McGuinness, a comedian and famous radio presenter announced live on radio that he will be attempting to cycle through three nations in five days. This entire journey was to cover a distance of almost 300 miles. This announcement really took the attention of many people who saw it as an unrealistic adventure. This journey was purposely meant to raise funds for children in need.

Paddy started his intensive training as he prepared for his vigorous upcoming experience. In his training, he wasn’t alone. Sir Chris Hoy, a cycling hero came to back him up and Paddy was so happy about it. They did their training in the UK’s Peak District before setting off from Wrexham on Monday morning. He explained that cycling with Sir Chris Hoy is like having a kickabout with Messi. Even after the journey, Paddy was heard thanking Chris Hoy by saying “Chris is just one of those people in life – if he can help you, he will do it.”

The popular TV and radio presenter raised a staggering 7.5million Euros over the course of the breathtaking journey. He was accompanied by other people as well who made a wonderful group that psyched each other to the end. They received many and many well-wishers who contributed much to this exercise that meant well for the needy children.

Paddy said the main thing for him was to get people to donate whatever they could to help the children in need. He was mentally ready for it and had enough adrenaline to get him started. He was so eager to finish the journey and see how its glorious end would be. He reported that he would probably inhale a pint of Guinness when he finishes and then they would get back of the car and go straight down to Salford to celebrate with children in need on that Friday night.

Paddy through his three nation journey, he went through several counties. He started from Wrexham where they cycled to Flintshire. After Flintshire, they still had the energy to go Merseyside then to Cheshire and Lancashire since they were just getting started. They then headed to Westmorland, Cumberland, Dumfries then Lanarkshire and finally Glasgow where he received a heroic reception from the residents.
